Gentle Mucous Membrane Care: Red Elm Bark from Barfgold
Red elm bark, also known as Slippery Elm, consists of long-chain sugar molecules that, together with water, form a slimy mass. This forms a protective layer on the stomach and intestinal lining and can thus support digestive activity. At the same time, it has anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects and can be used for irritated mucous membranes, coughs, gastritis, or hyperacidity. The natural mucilage also supports the joints.
Red elm bark contains fiber, magnesium, calcium, sodium, as well as vitamins A, B, C, and K, supplemented by bitter, tannic, and mucilage substances.
We recommend red elm bark for dogs with an irritated gastrointestinal tract, hyperacidity, or inflammatory processes in the digestive system, as well as a supportive supplement for joint problems.
